    thoughtful touches
    lumpy pillows

    Hidden gem with unforgettable breakfasts

Our stay was filled with charm, from the lovely decor in the Bear's Den to the stunning views just outside the window. Richard and Theresa's hospitality was top-notch, making us feel special with their thoughtful touches. Breakfast was a delightful treat each morning, with homemade waffles that we couldn't get enough of.

While our experience was mostly wonderful, the pillows in the Bear's Den could use an upgrade. they felt a bit lumpy. Additionally, we wished for a fan in the room to help with air circulation during the night.

    hearty breakfasts
    scenic paddleboat ride
    luxury getaway
    hot water issues

We had an awesome trip with friends and loved exploring the Guler Ice Cave. The breakfasts were hearty, and we appreciated the owners making breakfast to-go, which was perfect before heading to the Columbia Gorge for a scenic paddleboat ride. It really felt like a luxury getaway.

One downside was the jacuzzi tub, which ran out of hot water after a long day of hiking, so make sure to time your usage if you have a busy schedule!

    homemade breakfast

It was just a nice choice for a mini-vacation with value for money. I really enjoyed the homemade breakfast featuring lemon ricotta waffles, which were delicious. Bring a fan for better air circulation if you find the room a bit warm.

    cozy cabin
    welcoming atmosphere
    delicious breakfast
    pillow issues
    hot water
    path light

I spent a weekend at the Elk Cove cabin and it was a cozy retreat. The cabin had comforting amenities like plush towels and quality toiletries. The jacuzzi tub offered relaxation after a day of hiking, although it ran out of hot water faster than expected. Richard and Theresa were incredibly hospitable, ensuring clean rooms and providing thoughtful snacks like cookies and fresh fruit. Breakfast included delicious options that showcased Theresa's baking skills, but I wish there had been a bit more variety. The surroundings were beautiful and well-kept, making it a lovely place to unwind. However, the pillows could use an upgrade as they felt lumpy at times. Also, the window covering on the door didn’t block out the path light outside effectively, which made sleeping a bit tricky at night.

We loved our stay in the cozy Bear's Den, especially with the kids enjoying board games and popcorn by the fire. The nearby Columbia River Gorge was perfect for some wintery exploration. And I can't forget the fantastic homemade breakfast each morning!

For dads, it would be great to have more outdoor activities for kids.
